Dr. Petrosky was honored to be selected to give the Welcoming Address for the National Alliance of Professional Psychology Providers' 2019 Training Conference (March 22nd through March 24th) in San Antonio, Texas. This special training is offered to doctoral level providers as well as physicians. Dr. Petrosky is a member of the NAPPP Executive Board as well as the American Board of Medical Psychology. Dr. Petrosky presented on: "The Need for Analog Thinking in Advancing Our Knowledge of the Biochemistry of Mental Health."
Other topics presented included: Mental Health Effects of Endocrine Dysfunction, Contextual and Lifestyle Factors in Medical Psychology, Medical Cannabis: Guidance for Clinicians, Methods and Knowledge of Innovative Service Delivery, Use and Misuse of Antipsychotic Medications in a Nursing Home Setting, Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Cultural Considerations in the Hispanic Population.
Among those in attendance were Dr. John Caccavale, winner of the prestigious Psyche Award, as well as esteemed psychologists from across the United States.
